AQUADETECT Welcomes Its First MSCA Staff Exchange Researchers

Deep Tech Lab / COFAC has welcomed the first researchers undertaking secondments within the AQUADETECT project under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchanges (MSCA Staff Exchanges) programme, funded by Horizon Europe. These exchanges promote international collaboration, knowledge transfer and the sharing of expertise among the project partners.

Between July and October 2026, Dr. Gozal Kasamanskaya and Prof. Ercan Yilmaz, from Innovative Electronics and Detectors (INEDET), Azerbaijan, are carrying out their research secondments at Deep Tech Lab.

During their stay at Deep Tech Lab, Dr. Gozal Kasamanskaya and Prof. Ercan Yilmaz are contributing their expertise to the development of the AQUADETECT sensing platform. Their work focuses on the design, modelling and optimisation of advanced photodetectors for integration into the project's optical LiDAR system, supporting more sensitive, accurate and reliable water quality monitoring.

These first secondments mark an important milestone in the implementation of AQUADETECT, reinforcing the project's commitment to scientific excellence, international mobility and collaborative research. During July, Deep Tech Lab will also welcome additional researchers from the consortium through the MSCA Staff Exchanges programme, further strengthening scientific cooperation, knowledge exchange and collaboration among the project partners.
